"To enter a theatre for a performance is to be inducted into a magical space, to be ushered into the sacred arena of the imagination."
- Simon Callow
Imagination Theatre is a local not-for-profit childrens theatre started in 2011 by founder and president, Stu Johnson. We believe that the arts play a vital role in creating well-rounded individuals, by developing self-discipline, building self-confidence, and boosting self-esteem. I.T. provides the youth of the plateau year-round opportunities to express themselves artistically through the performing arts in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Workshop provides a more in depth educational experience about theatre and music for youth ages 5-18.
We currently perform our shows in Buckley and Enumclaw, Washington.
"My kid is on her 4th show with IT. The crew is fantastic with kids! The kids work hard, have fun, and learn about theatre, dedication, teamwork and so many other great qualities. Even if you have no kids in a program, the shows are entertaining and the hard work and love of the performance in the kids really shines."
